i have enjoyed several of your books tht i have read. recently i bought a kindle and i read but i trusted you on my kindle. according to the paperback book it was 400+ pages. when i read your book on my kindle it did not seem like it was 400 or more pages. is the kindle version less pages than the paperback. or do you delete some of the content when it is purchased for the kindle? like i said i enjoy your books very much, i feel sorry for the victims in your books. i know this kind of crime happens all the time. will you be making a trip to tulsa, okla to sign any of your books in the further? if the books are a shorter version on the kindle i will by the paperbacks and read them that way.

In the advent of Lynn Turner's death in a Georgia prison, have you thought of writing a book about the case? As you may recall, she was convicted of killing her husband and boyfriend with antifreeze.

DEBRA - I am so sorry to hear about you nephew. The kid I am talking about has been diagnosed as a sociopath - at 15. I have read so much on this issue and the woman I work for confirmed from her doctors that if a child does not have a bond - meaning his cries are not answered, he is not held or fed properly after 2 or three years old., it is something you cannot fix....ever.
My husband and I are childless, but are scared stiff from the stories from stories we have encountered. We would love to foster, but have been told there is an 80% chance we would get a kid with emotional instability - which could not be revealed completely until WE ALREADY ADOPTED HIM.
I know it is not the kids fault, but when I have to go into the kids room of the woman I work for, I get the hell out of there as fast as I can. The energy is bad there and I feel it it in every part of my being.
I feel terribly for these children, but they scare the crap out of me just the same.

Melanie, I saw that in the paper today also. Seems she told her mother a couple of weeks ago she was afraid of the other prisoners. I suppose they will do an autopsy.

Debra Lynn-not enough info. How old is your parent..any medical/cognitive issues...how long has the behavior been apparent and what type of behavior are you seeing? Also, mom or dad?

LAUREN: Thank you for your info. Our nephew, also adopted, was a troubled boy from day one. Never able to attend regular school, behavioral problem always, cruelty to animals, ADHD, violent behavior, law problems. I think he might have also been schizoid but I am no shrink. He was facing trial for aggravated assault against a police officer and died suddenly from overdose three days before trial began, I think a suicide but parents deny that. A very violent kid, very threatening, very dangerous. Likable, though and extremely intelligent. Quite a dichotomy. Too bad. I must ask: WHO is Lynn Turner?? Also, anyone else dealing with a narcissistic sociopath on a daily basis??? I need help and advice coping with my abusive elderly parent. I am an only child and no spring chicken. No relief anywhere for me, it seems.

I live in Georgia and just saw this mornings headlines. Lynn Turner was found dead this morning at Metro State Prison. No word on cause of death yet.
It seems like you wrote or were writing the story about the "Antifreeze Murders."
