Betti-WA, Thank-you for commenting on what I said about the recently killed police officer in Seattle. It is a very sad thing. I wonder how the trainee is doing? I wonder if it will make her want to quit, or make her determined to stay and become a great officer. I hope the wounds in her back are not too serious.

Hello to everyone:
Hope this finds all the ARF's and Ann doing great.
My girls left today. It was nice having them, and they are all so excited their
Dad's surgery turned out the way it did. We are still thanking God. And, do
appreciate all the prayers.
Yep: Kristen, I am at it again, cooking. Fixed a baked ham, mac. and cheese and steamed cabbage today.
I am going back to work this weekend if all goes well. I am missing my people and of course the $$$. I had a little stash, for extra's, and have used a lot of that, which doesn't take long. But, am so thankful that I do have a job. And, a good one at that. It is the best job I have ever had.
Anyway, good wishes to each and every one of you. Take care and be safe.
Oh yes: Dawn took all of my Ann Rule books, now I have to buy more. I had read them.

I love Halloween (my favorite holiday), but we never get any little trick-or-treaters. We live down a long, dark road which winds down to the water here on Mats Mats Bay, and they never venture down here. When I lived in the city, I loved having them come with their costumes and masks. Miss having them come by.

I'm with Jan-what leftover Halloween candy?! Actually the day after, the kids do the candy trade and the negotiations get pretty tense, lol!
Boston Bev-thanks to you too! How are you and how are things going with your husband. I hope he's doing better.

Yes, Delina you heard right about the Seattle Police officer--he is survived by a wife, son, and daughter. I think I read the kids are 11 & 8. He was training a new officer and they were in the patrolcar going over the stop they had just made when the shooting started. The trainee ducked down some and was injured in her back. She did get off several shots and called for aid so they hope someone will notice a vehicle with bullet holes in it. It's a sad day when like one gal said on the TV, "a policeman being killed and they are the ones protecting us". B
